A Message of Gratitude
I wrote this for a particular group of people in my life but wanted to share it with all of you all too.
Good morning and happy Monday!
During my gratitude practice this morning, I found myself reflecting on all of you and the incredible support we’ve shown each other. As we approach the two-year anniversary of the journey we took together, and with the holidays — and all the stress they can bring — just around the corner, I wanted to share a few thoughts.
Wherever you are on your journey right now is exactly where you’re supposed to be. If you’re doing great, that’s wonderful, and if you’re struggling, that’s okay too. Both states are part of life, and each offers opportunities for growth and improvement.
I want to remind you to take care of yourselves because you are worthy of love and compassion. Be kind to yourself, especially during difficult moments. Know that I see you, I support you, and I love you. You are not alone — there are people in your life who care deeply about you and want to lift you up. Let them. Be vulnerable, ask for what you need and deserve, and express gratitude for what you have.
I also wanted to share a few quotes that resonate deeply with me and that I hope will inspire you:
“He who has a why to live can bear almost any how.”– Friedrich Nietzsche
“The most intelligent men, like the strongest, find their happiness where others would find only disaster: In the labyrinth, in being hard with themselves and with others, in effort; their delight is in self-mastery; in them asceticism becomes second nature, a necessity, an instinct. They regard a difficult task as a privilege; it is to them a recreation to play with burdens that would crush all others.”– Friedrich Nietzsche
“Make no little plans; they have no magic to stir men’s blood and probably themselves will not be realized. Make big plans; aim high in hope and work, remembering that a noble, logical diagram once recorded will never die, but long after we are gone will be a living thing, asserting itself with ever-growing insistency. Remember that our sons and grandsons are going to do things that would stagger us. Let your watchword be order and your beacon beauty.”– Daniel Burnham
As we head into the holidays and a new year, I wish you peace, joy, and the chance to reflect on all the ways you’ve grown. Let’s celebrate the challenges we’ve faced, the victories we’ve achieved, and the opportunities ahead of us.
I hope we can connect soon to express gratitude for each other and for the people and experiences that enrich our lives.
Take care of yourselves, and know that I’m here for you.
Warm wishes!
